Birthday dinner in Bangkok

Posted on

Wow! is all I can say about my birthday dinner 🙂 Ryan found the perfect place and managed to keep it a secret too.  We went to Sra Bua in the Kepminski Hotel – a modern twist on Thai cuisine.  The chef has one Michelen star which, in my humble opinion, he completly deserves, and his restaurant has been compared to el Buli in Spain. The tasting menu comprised of several courses all of which had traditional Thai flavors prepared and served in a uinque way.  For example, there was a green curry mousse with a carrot sticking out of it served in a small flower pot – creative AND delicious.  My fish course was chilled poached lobster meat served with a red curry ‘ice cream’ and lemon grass foam…  truly spectacular.  Enough of this  writing… a picture is worth a thousand words.
