What’s a Gringo to do?

Pot+Strainer+Lid=Steamer

I purchased some pre-made Char Seiw from the grocery store to see how they would taste. Alas the directions call for microwaving them but the apartment does not have microwave. There were also directions to cook them in a Bamboo Steamer, which we do not have. In the end we worked out a system just fine.

p.s. despite being steamed, they were not NEARLY as tasty as the plump, soft, and wonderful Char Siew that we get from the market, lesson learned.
