The Banh Mi

Posted on

Subway has nothing on this sandwhich

When we went to Vietnam a couple of years ago, I fell in love with the Banh Mi sandwich. It’s a french baguette with asian style pork, chili peppers, carrots and sometimes Pate (I skip that part) Alas, no one seems to make them as well as the Vietnamese lady. She sells them from about .75 cents (US, and yes, that’s under a dollar for a 6″ sandwich) on the street corner. But, we keep looking. Yesterday we found this one at a food court. It was tasty, but made with chicken not pork, so it’s not the same. The hunt continues 🙂
